Collection: Humbert

Humbert is a Paris-based photographer who works mainly with film. He brings his cinematic inspiration into reality: meeting real people and staging them, finding places and turning them into sets. He loves to let his subjects tell stories, imagining them as movie characters.

After photographing the four corners of the world, he chose to create this series in Occitanie, mainly in Aveyron, where his mother comes from, over the course of one summer. It’s a region he has been roaming all his life. But this time, for the very first time, he is no longer a stranger behind the camera.
